October 2024 Youth Newsletter

Wow, it's already October and it's hard to believe we're three-quarters of the way through 2024!

1 John 4:9-11
In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.

Now that Autumn is well under way, we've got a lot of amazing seasonal activities coming up, starting with our annual trip to the corn maze, which is Saturday, October 12th, starting at 3:00pm. It's always a blast to walk the corn maze, watch the pumpkin cannon, bet the llamas, and race peddle carts! We purchase tickets well in advance because they always sell out, so please sign-up for this one ASAP if you want to attend!

We also have our annual costume party, on October 27th, which features a scavenger hunt this year! It's going to be a ton of fun uncovering clues, solving riddles, and trying to work together as a team to uncover the prize before the other teams do. We'll also have pizza, activities, and finish out the evening with our annual costume contest, so invite a friend or two, bring some candy to share, and join us for that!

Finally, we're wrapping up our memory verse of 1 John 4:9-11, with testing for that coming to an end the first week of October, so if you're still working keep it up so you can get your verse shirt! If you weren't able to memorize it, don't worry, keep working because you'll have another chance at it in the new year!
