February 2024 Youth Newsletter
Happy Valentine's Day!
Colossians 3:12-15
Put on then, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful.
Whether you celebrate Valentine's day or not, I hope this month you will be reminded both of the calling placed on Christians to love, and of the love we have received and receive every moment from our savior!
We've got a lot of awesome things happening in February, including a service opportunity on the 10th, our youth Conquerors Series starting on the 4th, a missions trip meeting after church on the 25th, and glow-golf on Friday the 23rd.
For our Valentine's event last year we had over 60 participants between dinner and childcare, and it took a lot of help to make that go smoothly, so please follow the link in the schedule below and join us in thanking our church community for everything they do!
Our Conquerors Series class starts on the 4th and will run through April. It's a class designed to help men of all ages fight against the sexualized world we live in, and we hope all of the young men in our church or group will join as we learn the necessary tools to overcome and combat that problem!
On the 25th we will be having a missions trip informational meeting for students and parents to let everyone know what our missions trip will be this year, including destination, dates, cost, and other necessary info. We hope you'll join us for that.
Finally, we've got a fun event for all our youth with glow-golf! It's going to be simple silly fun as we head to the glow golf to see who among us is destined for putt putt greatness. We'll golf for a while and then take the rest of our evening to hangout and play games at the church! We'll provide some snacks for the evening, but no dinner, so please eat before you come!
