August 2024 Youth Newsletter
What a summer we've had!
1 John 4:9-11
In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.
Lot's going on this month including Youth Sunday on August 4th, a flag football game on the 17th, and a pool party on the 31st.
We're also finishing up with our memory verse for the summer and will be testing everyone's memorization progress and handing out t-shirts at the end of the month. If you're interested in joining us just start memorizing the verse at the beginning of this email and see me at group!
Our youth mission's trip participants are sharing on Sunday Aug 4th about the trip and their experience! We'll also be hearing a little about what next year holds for our group outreach, as well as see a slideshow from the trip. I'd encourage everyone to attend and see what God was able to accomplish and what we're looking to do to continue building His kingdom and advancing the gospel in our community in the future!
That same night, our senior high youth are going to be heading off-site to attend Faith at the Foundry, which is a local worship and prayer event in downtown Loveland. We'll meet at the church at our regular time and be back at our usual closing time, so no big changes there, but we'd love for everyone to join us for that.
Our flag football event is going to be a fun chance to get outside and play a fun game of football. All our youth are welcome to join us for that on Saturday, August 17th, 10:00am-12:00pm.
And finally we have a pool party on August 31st! We'll meet at the church at 2pm, head to the pool together for some fun in the sun (complete with Chick-fil-a), and be back at the church around 7pm. This is an all-youth event and we encourage our kids to sign-up and invite their friends for a final summer hurrah!
As always, you can check the youth page on the website for our updated schedule, or feel free to email us if you want more info or have questions!
