The Word of God Week 1 - Midweek Teaching

Sep 11, 2024    Erik Miller

For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. (Heb 4:12) <> All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. (2 Timothy 3:15-17)

What does it mean that scripture is God-breathed, alive and active? How does knowing about plot, narrative, story, poetry, and history impact our understanding of God’s word? How can we be sure we are correctly handling and applying God’s word to our lives?

What role does the Holy Spirit play?

And most importantly, how does it change me? How does God’s word work towards making me more like Christ?

Join us as we endeavor to grow in our understanding and application of this treasure we have thru our midweek teaching series on the word of God.
